About Us

Do you remember when there were no varsity high school lacrosse programs for girls in north Florida? We do! In 2005 FCL was born, becoming the FIRST league for girls on the FIRST COAST. Back then we played a lot of 7's lacrosse but we quickly grew the sport by helping to add varsity programs at both Nease and Bartram Trail in St. Johns County. We helped get Stanton Prep, Mandarin, Sandalwood, and Fletcher off the ground in Duval County. We helped Fleming Island develop a high school team too!

We have trained nearly all of the area's officials, provided free coaching clinics and support for area coaches, and we helped organize girl's lacrosse at the varsity level, enabling FHSAA to adopt the sport statewide. Over the years more than 3,700 girls have played in our league!

Our philosophy is simple: Utilize great fields and organize great lacrosse so that coaches and players can show up and do what they do best: LACROSSE!

In addition to our iconic Fall Ball League, FCL is venturing out into clinics, camps, and small-sided/Olympic development travel teams! Our roots are in the sport of lacrosse and our motives are pure: To Develop the Finest Lacrosse in the State of Florida on the First Coast!
